24/7 works for Metro North
During a meeting of the Joint Committee on Transport (3/4/08) Minister Dempsey expressed his view as follows
" with regard to metro and the working day and that the work should be carried out 24/7, subject to safety regulations. However, on the M50 route An Bord Pleanála restricted the hours of work. I do not understand the reasoning for that as suffering a little discomfort for a shorter period of time is preferable."
With regard to traffic management plans Minister Dempsey said "I have taken a direct personal interest in this matter."
