RPA apply for Railway order to build Metro North 17.09.2008

A new website containing all details of the application has been set up www.dublinmetronorth.ie .

RfR would encourage all interested parties to make a submission to An Bord Pleanála.

An Bord Pleanála will consider any submissions in relation to the proposed Railway Order or in relation to the likely effects on the environment of the proposed railway works which are submitted in writing to it by any person and accompanied by a fee of €50. (This fee is not payable by certain bodies with environmental responsibilities or by persons whose lands may be acquired under the order). Submissions must be lodged not later than the 29th day of October 2008 at 5:30pm and must be addressed to An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 and marked Metro North.

RfR is pleased to note that following representations the RPA will be placing a copy of the Draft Railway Order in Millmount library.

To date RfR have had two meetings with the Independent Expert group and their first full report is expected 30/09/2008.

RfR will attempt to keep as much information as possible available in Millmount library for residents. Currently on display in the library are copies of the Ventilation Shaft and Griffith Ave Station designs, meeting notes and previous submissions.

RfR are currently involved in reviewing the EIS and will update this site on our findings shortly.
